Mya had a very fun Christmas, here are some shots of her playing with her new toys!

Despite having had the chickenpox vaccine Mya has had a mild case of the chickenpox and the last three days have not been very fun. She seems a lot better today. Since our high is 85 today I am including our version of a snowman which we made with friends on our boat outing. Merry Christmas everyone!

florida at last!

After eight days on the road we arrived in Florida. We were able to get into our rental house on November 14th and our household items arrived on the 30th. Finally we got to have some fun - here are some shots of our first boat outing.

the trip to florida - part three

Luckily Traven's cousin Richelle and her husband Eric and faithful weenie dog Tiki moved to the gulf coast shortly before we did. We got to spend two nights with them in Picayune, MS and had a blast! Richelle's new position is with the Crosby Arboretum http://www.crosbyarboretum.msstate.edu/ and we got to go and visit. It's a very cool place and Mya loved feeding the fish and turtles. Mya also got her first her taste of the gulf - literally she ran straight into the water and fell down instantly! It didn't dampen her enthusiasm for the beach though, even as I'm typing this she's looking at the beach shot chanting "Yeah beach, Mya go to beach, get our soup (bathing suit) on!"

From Moab we went to Arkansas and stayed with G-Ma Virg and P-Pa Otie for a few days. We had a lot of fun and got see both of the clans. I didn't take a lot of pictures but here is a shot of the beautiful fall color we got to enjoy!
